Walking away from a relationship where I felt my love was never reciprocated, I chose to create a self-portrait that depicted the promise I made to myself on September 28th, 2022. Despite my experiences with people whose hearts wouldn’t let them love unconditionally, I would never stop being who I am. As you can see from my posture in the photo, I am confident and never powerless, but my emotions I will never deny.
